I bought this 60G (model #DAP-HD0011) that was otherwise exactly like the old one. There are oodles of stories on these boards regarding software problems and creative mp3 players. You'll get a key from microsoft (valid till the 1st October 2009) to activate Windows seven and access windows update. Just to get started putting music on the new player, I chose Winamp and worked with its media library. I really love my player, but half a player isn't really going to do it for me. Nomad explorer does not see it and the media source software will not install. Maybe nice to know , that I am from the Netherlands and you are from Australia……see how people crossing the globe can help each other!!!

I guess I'm in the market for a new (non-Creative) mp3 player. I did a lot of digging on the net and found the instructions for doing things like downgrading Windows Media Player (did that), re-installing the drivers and firmware (did that), in Right click the driver installer again and Run as Administrator.

Nor would the Creative Media Source work with it, as it felt that the player was not even hooked up to the computer.

Thankfully, it was only a trial download. I am still a fan of creative hardware but quite dissapointed how they treated existing owners. It ran just fine on W7 and recognized my Jukebox right off.
