Computers enjoy being cold rather than hot, and so long as you're not moving a cold computer into a hot room (like the first example, this could cause condensation inside the There's information on this somewhere that I read but I'm not going to take the time to dig it up because I honestly don't know where it's located.
You pretty much hit the nail on the head except for the part about HWMONITOR mis-reading temperatures. Most limitations can be traced to the electrolyte. Your CPU ALSO has a built in temperature sensor , but due to the formula used to calculate this temp, it is only accurate under load. This is why temp monitoring software lets you adjust the readings Also, does AMD use a similar TjMax system like Intel?

So yea this AMD setup is nice, but it's not all that great. The CPU temperature should be about halfway down the screen there. It has long been argued that the recommended limit is merely a larger safety net. I'm selling off this AMD setup though.

solved Is my i7 7700k CPU temp/voltage too high? http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/ Forget about that other temperature because the sensor is not calibrated properly or is faulty. Because in Windows, completely idle, programs (such as HWMonitor, CoreTemp, RealTemp, Speccy) all show around 15*C for the CPU (and usually around the same # for the Chipset), then I reboot It currently idles around 21-22C.
Where you will run into problems is if condensation is allowed to form on the components. but now back to the question at hand. if the device is is a constant very low temp environment, a sealed case and externally attached heat-sinks will do fine. Guys is this good or bad?
You don't get condensation on a cold surface is the air it is in contact with is the same temperature. –Fake Name Nov 18 '12 at 9:14 add a comment| up Give coretemp a try, its pretty good. permalinkembedsaveparent[–]VuIpes 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago(3 children)Better question: Why would you ever want your room to be that cold, do you like freezing? :p permalinkembedsaveparentgive gold[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago(2 solved cpu temps too low lol CPU temps are too low!
